Multiple News Servers
Only one news server account is required to start downloading from the Usenet, but there are reasons to use more than one server. Consider the following situation:
-
You already use a free, but unreliable news server. Because some files cannot be found on that news server, especially old ones, you choose to create an account at a news server that charges by the amount of downloaded data. In order to save money, you would like to download from that news server only if a file cannot be found on the free news server.
The following features are available when more than one news server has been defined.
Enabling and Disabling Servers
You can disable a news server by deactivating the check-box on the left of the server entry. This causes LottaNZB to stop downloading from that server. You can later enable the news server again by activating the check-box.
Backup Servers
A backup server is a news server that is only used to download files that could not be downloaded from any other news server. A server can be marked as a backup server when editing it. Expand Advanced Settings and activate the check-box Use as backup server.
